Raw and Real: When the World Met Miss Probinsyana Delivers Powerful Lessons and Authentic Emotions

When the World Met Miss Probinsyana is a powerful film that truly captures the raw emotions of its characters. The shots are unfiltered, allowing the audience to feel the depth of each scene. It's not just a movie-it's a learning experience, promoting women empowerment, mental health awareness, self-determination, and the importance of a support system. It also challenges the wrong notions about being a probinsyano or probinsyana. Rhian Ramos and Sid Lucero deliver outstanding performances, portraying the complexities of regular people with authenticity. This film is a must-watch for anyone looking to reflect and learn about life's many layers.

Not your typical local movie-a must watch

As a woman who is often underestimated just because I'm 'only a woman,' they don't realize that in this new generation, we face and overcome every challenge in life. I didn't grow up in the province, but I felt the situation of every female character, especially the lead. Not everything you want will come easily just because you want it. Having guidance from above makes all the difference. The support of people around you and, most importantly, faith in God are crucial. One thing I realized is her courage to try and pursue what she knew she could do, despite the many challenges that came her way-she held on to those who believed in and supported her. If you want to be inspired, understand real life, believe in your abilities, and rise after falling, this movie will surely make you laugh, cry, and give you hope.

WHEN THE WORLD MET MISS PROBINSYANA is a wake up call for MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS.

Learn to trust your self. The top lesson I learned from this movie. Most often, we find it hard to believe our ability, our capabilities. This movie shows that if we start believing in ourselves, we can achieve a lot of things, we can achieve our goals and dreams. If we trust ourselves, we can face all our problems, even the deepest one. We can get out of darkness. We can be comfortable again in living our lives to the fullest. If we start trusting ourselves, all the good things will start coming. Get out of the dark and embrace the good thing in life. We deserve it. We deserve all the blessings we are receiving. We work hard for all of those.

This movie touches my heart to the deepest. I've been in the dark myself. I've experience traumas, hardships and really got lost in my journey. This movie shows me the right path. I want to be successful too. I want to believe that I am capable too. So I will, I will be successful and live a happy and comfortable life too.

An advocacy film in its own right

There are a lot of issues in the Philippine work industry and there are more left to be talked about. This film tackles the effects of urban v rural discrimination, and the struggles of holding onto a dream. The historic pandemic that affected hundreds if not thousands of businesses causing shut down establishments became the lowest point in a lot of people's lives ; this film writes a love letter to those who held fast to sustaining the workers and the families that depended on them to feed and provide for the medicinal needs of their loved ones. Especially those within provinces that struggled to even find a solution to pure poverty within the pandemic. Most importantly, there are multiple storylines dedicated to the experiences of women and teaching them to dream again. Let's appreciate what the film empowers and portrays, disregard the droll reviews and listen to the film's message!

A movie I would definitely recommend!!

When I watched the movie my heart felt something. Something that makes me want to never give up on myself and onto others. And if there is one line in this movie that I will never forget it will be the "Gender is not a barrier to success." Because I am also a firmly believer that we are more that just our gender. We have a different kind of qualities that makes us unique and special.

The character Ms. Marge reminds me of the song of Taylor Swift. Where in one of the character was Dorothea, a girl who left her small town to chase down Hollywood/ big dreams. I am so proud of marge for having the courage to leave her comfort zone and try new things. I am happy that see finally healed and learned to choose her battles.

Additionally, Marge's husband, Wil caught my attention also. I appriciate how loving, understanding, and caring he is. Not just to Marge but also to their Kids. He's always there to calm down Marge, to support her, to help her, and to love her even in her most unlovable days. He still chose to stay. And that reminds me of the saying "If he wanted to, he would." Because when there are so many reasons to leave Marge, he stayed, cause he wanted to. Oh to be loved by a man like Wil.
