Baffled by the negative comments about Plan B! It took me two episodes to get hooked on Season 1 of Plan B, as the story rests on "Patrick", a truly unlikeable protagonist/anti-hero. However, I found the whole season worth viewing, because the story does not flinch or candycoat the awful results of Patrick's effforts to manipulate everyone. Fact is, the weird plot twists, psychologically rich storyline, good script, effective production elements, and especially the very fine acting kept me watching to the end. I was moved, amused, shocked, intrigued, and eager to see what would happen next.
For me, all the main characters were quite real, authentic people. The surprises in the plot all re-calibrated things deftly. And the last minute or so of the final Season1 episode worked really well, imo, to finish the story.
SO: with anticipation of something different yet equally strong, I've started viewing Season 2, "Mia"'s story -- and after three fascinating episodes find it admirably made, and enthralliing enough that I'm baffled by other viewers' rating it so low. Some of the comments make no sense to me, as if the viewer had been watching a different drama entirely. "So it goes", I suppose. Maybe my many years of broad experience of watching fine fare makes it easier for me to see a little more deeply?? I don't know. To discerning viewers, I suggest allowing 2-3 episodes of viewing, without expecting the usual mainstream stuff, before you decide to savour it all or to step away.
