This episode was FUN! What a great start to the series. This was the most ambitious of Passionflix's productions to date with scale and special effects and they blew it out of the park! The casting is spot on, the dialogue is straight out of the books, and the scenery is exactly how I pictured it in my mind. I'm so excited to watch the next 5 episodes. I have been reading the books for about 10 years now and they are so pleasantly different than the standard vampire faire. I recommend this to any reader of the series. You will not be disappointed.
2 stars were removed due to some of the scenes being cheesy or just off somehow. I have no doubt they will get better as they progress and get more comfortable with their characters. In no way is that bad in my book though, this was obviously done with love of the lore and respect for the author. Mad props Passionflix, keep up the good work and you've more than earned your subscription fee.

Soooo. Have been a fan of this series for too many years to count. When I heard the platform this series was going to air on, I was hesitant to watch. Fast forward I bought a month trial and watched the first episode. At first I thought this is going to be super cheesy. As I continued to watch I began to appreciate the casting, the strict following of the script of the books and the flow of the show. Would like Rhage's dragon to be more realistic. It did take me a hot moment to embrace Wrath's wig but as I continued to watch I got on board. Butch's acting is spot on as is Marissa's. I think I am most excited to see Z's and Vichous's characters grow. Overall I am not disappointed and I hope they choose to consider finishing this series out in future episodes. I would definitely watch. To be honest, most new movies or series leave much to be desired, so this series, although not perfect at this time has great potential to continue and perfect. I hope it does.
I just finished watching the first episode of The Black Dagger Brotherhood, and I honestly didn't expect to be this impressed. Going into it, I knew it wouldn't be a massive high-budget production, but what it might lack in scale, it absolutely makes up for in heart, atmosphere, and dedication.
To my surprise (and delight), I found myself completely drawn in. Rath and Beth? I loved them. Their dynamic was so compelling, and there's something about the way their story is being told that feels both intimate and larger-than-life. You can really feel that J. R. Ward and director Tosca Musk poured themselves into this project, not just as creators, but as true fans of the world they've built.
The soundtrack and musical choices were another highlight for me. Every note felt intentional, and the background sounds helped elevate the emotional depth of each scene. It's clear that the production team worked hard to create an immersive experience, and for me, they absolutely succeeded.
I genuinely enjoyed it far more than I expected, and I sincerely hope more people give this show a chance. There's so much potential here, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

This is absolutely wonderful. I feel that I have stepped straight into Black Dagger Brotherhood Novels. Admittedly, a bit scary lingering in the mind of JR Ward but a thrill I won't relinquish. The hardest part is waiting week after week for episodes and knowing it is going to come to an end. I can't say enough about the actors. Although I am not familiar with any of them, they have quickly become favorites. The crew has delightfully brought the Brothers to life. Both avid readers and those clueless to the series will not be disappointed. Strap up and dive in. Pun intended 😉 😉 😜 .You're craving for the brothers, suspense, fantasy, love, and action will intensify.
Tosca and JR Ward did an excellent job of capturing the magic of this world and bringing it to life on screen. The brothers are fabulous!!! Everything is exactly as I imagined it as I read this book series. This was always my favourite book series and I was a little apprehensive about how it was going to be portrayed but all my expectations were exceeded. I am looking forward to seeing each brothers books brought to life on the screen. I am currently dreaming everything BDB lately and can't wait to see where Tosca and JR Ward take this series. I hope this is going to continue to be produced for many years to come.
