I was excited to watch this series as it looked like the perfect show for glamorous, dramatic, and romantic elements within a royal family.
While it was glamorous (great costume, set, and makeup) it lacked everything else. Ishaan Khatter, Vihaan Samat and Sakshi Tanwar carried this show completely.
I was very disappointed in the script writing because it lacked depth and proper transition of scenes. Dialogue was okay, but there were countless scenes where it was extremely poor and despite the good acting by those mentioned above, it felt awkward because of the dialogue.
I was also really disappointed with Bhumi Pednekar's acting. I love the previous movies she has been in, but she could not emote the expressions that were required to carry the chemistry between her and Ishaan, nor could you tell if she was mad, sad, jealous, etc.
The story picked up in the last few episodes and I am looking forward to the new season. But with that, if there is a season 2, it really needs a better writer and screenplay.

I just finished watching this series, and immediately I felt like it's a very bad casting or I can say pairing of the main actors. The age difference of Bhumi and Ishan is clearly visible. Also there is no great story or suspense they have created. Everything is too predictable. I was actually waiting for the series but now I'm disappointed, it was very weird to see their chemistry even nora's charector was also not going well with Ishan. Although Ishan acted very well. I liked the acting of Sakshi, it could be a great series if there would be a good story and very good casting. I saw milind soman is also in the series but his screentime is almost zero, wish he would have much bigger role.
Great canvas and initial idea but failed script, screenplay and acting. Exhausting watch, absolute cringe-fest.
I'm not sure if Bhoomi's character is meant to be 10 years younger than the actor or if Ishaan's character is meant to be 10 years older. Completely feels out of place and forced conflict and chemistry, just bad..
The screenplay and dialogues destroy what is an opportunity to showcase relatively good lighting, color, and set design..peasing to the eye.. The forced 'steaminess' or sensuality angle just seems incredibly unnecessary!
An absolute opportunity to build genuinelly good characters out of the royal siblings absolutely wasted.
A little depth and character development would've gone a long way.
The Royals is a shallow waste of time.

All is good except Bhoomi Pednekar...it seems she has forgotten to act plus she looks ugly on screen now. The only time I enjoyed the series was when Bhoomi was not on screen... even the support cast and junior actors have done a great job only disappointment was Bhoomi Pednekar. Ishan Khattar was outstanding.
All other actors were great, story line was fine everything was ok but female lead could have been different... Bhoomi Pednekar has started looking like a plastic skeleton... She should go back to acting school learn everything again eat some food and then should do a comeback for now it sucked.

Bhumi's performance and dialogue delivery were severely lacking. She neither looked nor carried herself like a CEO, and her portrayal fell far short of what the role demanded. Instead of projecting authority and sophistication, her performance came across as immature and unconvincing-more fitting for a teenager than the head of a company. Unfortunately, she just didn't suit the role.
Ishaan Khattar truly excelled in the role, delivering a performance that was both captivating and authentic. He effortlessly embodied the character's regal presence and natural charm, making every scene feel rich and compelling. His portrayal brought a sense of depth and vitality that made the character not just believable, but mesmerizing to watch.
The storyline is lacking and there's a lot of misses, for an example, episode 8, the CEO doesn't even know how to use SUM function in an excel. Come on, who uses manual addition in excel. The makers didn't even do their research behind every scene.
