At 10m53s when Laszlo pretends to work at the catering station, he says to the actor "Can I interest you in a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?". This is in reference to a famous 1991 Australian news video of Jack Karlson, being arrested at a Brisbane Chinese restaurant. The video of Karlson is a widely shared meme, due to his wild interaction with the arresting officers, and his loud stentorian voice, which sounds very similar to Laszlo.
Throughout the episode, Colin Robinson and Nadja keep referencing HBO's Sex and the City (1998) and its protagonist, the columnist Carrie Bradshaw, who writes/voices her iconic tagline "...I couldn't help but wonder" at some point in every episode. Towards the end of this episode, Colin Robinson does the same while recapping Laszlo and Nandor's A-story.
When Nandor asks about someone on set, he is answered that the person is 10-1. Nandor interprets this as this person is a giant. 10-1 means to use the bathroom.
