Sun and Fun
I found this by accident it was not an Inspector Morse type crime thriller, but it did make for some enjoyable evenings viewings with the family. I am a fan of the murder mystery genre but this was light hearted and less serious than most. There is an underlying theme that runs through the episodes. At the time of writing this I have not seen the final episode, I hope they do not solve the underlying theme as this would leave the door open for series 2. If it comes online to purchase I will definitely buy a copy as I watched this on satellite digital TV.
Original - A change from the over-used dead spouse scenario
This light-hearted, original scenario makes a change from the weary widowed cop over-done in so many other shows. The arc storylines of the main family's three generations add enough variety around the episodic mystery. There's intrigue, humour, new friendships, a hint of romance and a few familiar faces, which always adds to the fun. The music is good, not too repetitive nor drowns out the dialogue.
Amusing!!!
"I watched Sunshine Murders on a weekday afternoon, and it was such a delight. The sunny weather and beautiful scenery matched the show's light-hearted tone perfectly.
The actors were wonderfully quirky and making each episode feel fun and refreshing. The gentle humour, colourful setting, and relaxed pace makes it ideal for a cosy afternoon when you just want to unwind. A lovely mix of sunshine, scenery, and smiles" 😊🌞😎

The Sunshine Murders: A Bright, Breezy Crime Drama with Heart
I recently watched The Sunshine Murders and absolutely enjoyed it. The premise-two half-sisters one a farmer in New Zealand, the other a detective in Athens, works brilliantly. Helen Moustakas is a solid, grounded detective haunted by her personal life; Shirley Rangi brings hope, humour and a fresh outsider's glance. Together they navigate a search for their missing father while solving murders in sun-soaked Greek locales. Each episode presents a compelling crime, but the real emotional pull is their sibling journey, the cultural contrast, and how family secrets unfold. I love how the setting feels both remote and cosmopolitan. Which kept me visually engaged. If you like crime dramas with heart, scenic locations and clever character-work, this one's a winner. I am hoping for a Season 2, it left me wanting more and truly has made me smile so much just what we need in the UK right now something to just smile and have a giggle with a lighthearted funny show drama.

Sassy, sweet and original
I loved this show, its an out of the box original idea. Peter Andre as a forensic expert is delightful, Emily Corcoran doing triple duty as writer, producer, and actor is a refreshingly bright presence on screen ( and also clearly very hard working) and there are a series of entertaining crimes to solve, all threaded through with a family mystery.... Its good to see the class act that is Stephanie Beacham back on our screens and Marina Sirtis does a superb turn as the not so straight forward mother of one of the two leads. Is it ground breaking drama, no, is it a great watch, yes. A delightful way to spend an afternoon. Cant wait for another season,
