Five friends, natives of different regions of the USSR, serve in the same infantry regiment. They have three years of war behind them, and ahead of them lies the liberation of Russian, Belarusian, Polish and German cities. They are led forward by the song "Road to Berlin", written by Major Dolmatovsky.
