The Vampire is a Carpathian who has given in to the darkness and killed while feeding in order to feel emotions again. The Vampire enjoys the adrenalin flooded blood, getting high from the rush.
After 200 years a Carpathian loses their ability to have emotions ,feelings and see in color ,everything is a drab grey . When this happens a Carpathian male is plunged into only one life which is hunting and killing Vampires but every day face turning themselves without a lifemate. A Vampire WAS a Carpathian hunter who gave in to the darkness and killed while feeding the adrenaline and fear he absorbs from the kill is the only "emotion" he has felt in hundreds of years the fear of his victim once he has done that there is no going back he turns into a Vampire a killing deceptive monster who then other Carpathian Hunters must find and destroy . A Carpathian MUST find his True Lifemate to bring back his light his emotions and to fill his world with color again to bind him and save him from ever turning into the thing he hunts a Vampire.
