A colourful and musical party

I've watched this in the theatre with my 4-year old daughter. She absolutely loved it. The inclusivity and diversity is so well done in this movie. It's a true gem amongst children's movies. The acting is great. That was to be expected by great names such as Eva van der Gucht and Waldemar Torenstra, but I was also very impressed by Ivy Faulborn, who plays Ollie. There's a great future ahead of her, I'm sure. The music is so good, happy and well written. My daughter has been listening to the soundtrack in the car non-stop since watching the movie, which was over a week ago. Definitely a must watch for any kid between 3-8 and such a fun watch for their parents.

A movie that feels like a party

This is not only a movie for very young children, but this sweet en funny gem will charm parents two. The film takes it's title form a popular Dutch nursery song, but it tells it's own original, engaging story. Go and see it! It tells the story of two elephant-;loving sisters who are lost in a forrest. That might seem like a modest story, but in the way it's told it's very rich. Great songs, a large ensemble of colorful characters, and at its hearts it's the bond between two very different but also complimentary sisters. This film is not without flaws (soms songs feel a bit unnesessary, some characters are a bit too over the top), but the warm atmosphere is a great antidode for the cynicism of the outside world, that I forget those things. It's a party a a film.
