The Dan Da Dan movie is a visual feast, delivering an exhilarating experience from start to finish. One of the most striking aspects of the film is its art style. The animation is stunning, with vibrant colors and sharp lines that perfectly capture the chaotic energy of the story. Each frame feels alive, and the character designs are particularly standout, bringing to life the quirky and unique personalities from the manga.
The film moves at an incredibly fast pace, but it never feels rushed. Whether it's the intense fight scenes or the more personal, character-driven moments, everything flows seamlessly. The action sequences are a huge highlight, showcasing dynamic choreography and creative use of powers. Each fight feels grand and thrilling, keeping you on the edge of your seat, while still maintaining emotional weight through the characters' interactions and development.
What's even more impressive is how well the movie integrates the three episodes it covers. They feel tightly connected, with no awkward transitions or disjointed pacing. The story is cohesive, making it easy to stay immersed in the world. Overall, Dan Da Dan delivers an electrifying mix of high-speed action, stunning visuals, and heartfelt moments that will leave both fans of the series and newcomers wanting more.

It is an anime with a very characteristic identity of its own, which even feels apart from the manga (on which the show is based). They offer a particular value to some moments by adding scenes that are not originally there and this is what gives it a different essence, but close to the plot of spirits - mystery - aliens. I have to confess that, even though I have already read the manga, there are still emotional moments capable of bringing tears to my eyes within the hilarious situations that the protagonists live. The origin stories of spirits are certainly one of my weak points. Thank you for reading my review.

It's so funny and serious at the same time. The visuals in the newest episode was beautiful the back story , everything, had me in tears.
I absolutely adore Okarun, his character personality switch up when he transforms is awesome, and he also looks so cool! Hoping for some more romantic aspects in the future! But beside that this show in itself is great! Would be a good first anime for beginners or people who like alot of different genres as it shows all different kinds when watching it!
Absolutely loving this show!! And highly recommend it to anybody! I love it so much I bought the limited edition book! Hoping to get a Okarun figure soon also!

Two unlikely classmates become friends when their lives are intertwined due to their beliefs. Momo believes in the supernatural, not the occult, and Okarun believes the opposite. They challenge each other to prove who's belief is true. Momo ends up being abducted, and Okarun is cursed. They now must work together to fix the mess they are in.
This is a very intriguing anime. The story is all over the place, from one character looking to belong and friends to the other for love and companionship. The story also has aliens, ghosts, curses, crude humor, and action. The movie quickly gets to the point and ends just as soon as it starts. The animation is excellent and captivating. With no prior knowledge of the manga or having seen a preview, I found this anime entertaining and worth watching.

I'm not one to cherry pick this type of humour, but some of the sexual scenes were just really unnecessary.
The aliens wanting to reproduce is fine, okarun comedically losing his "manhood" was fine, but my problem is with how the show depicts sexual assault.
On the first and last episodes of season 1 Momo is *almost* sexually assaulted by groups of people. It gives me a horrible taste. Not only how easy they shrug it off, but also how fetishised it comes off as.
I don't believe there's many good reasons to visually depict sexual violence. If trauma from SA is relevant to a character's backstory (which it literally isn't in dan da dan???) it can be shown in other ways besides literally showing the exact way the character was abused, they could talk about it, they could have behaviours that foreshadow it, but it does not need visuals attached
If SA is a theme a show uses, it needs to be handled *very* delicately, and it's important to do this tastefully. Dan da dan did not even attempt to tastefully portray SA, instead they made it just another silly scene.
I like the rest of the show, I like the characters, I like the concept, but these scenes seriously ruin it for me.
