Nina has just been prescribed her first contraceptive - the sixteen-year-old is ready for love, but not for sex. She organizes their first night together with her boyfriend, but is unable to talk about sex with her mother. She works in the erotic industry, where sex is treated instrumentally, and Nina believes that the act of love is something unique and sublime. When she finally experiences the simplicity and physicality of sex, she begins to question her ideals.
