Nie jestes sama

Probably the most important Polish documentary since Tomasz Sekielski's films about child abuse by priests.

"You Are Not Alone" tells the story of Poland's very strict anti-abortion law and a activists who organized an abortion self-help group.

The film is incredibly intimate - the camera accompanies the activists everywhere, both during breakfast and during Natalia Broniarczyk's legendary speech in the Polish parliament.

The film has two flaws. For people who are not familiar with the specifics of Polish law and the activities of the characters, the film may seem a bit chaotic. The film also has poor sound (but this unfortunately applies to many contemporary productions shot "on location"), although this is only for Polish viewers, viewers from other countries will probably have a text translation.

Even if the production is not perfect, the topic it raises is so important that I have no doubts: 10 stars.
