Kenneth Griffith's aborted documentary would have dealt with Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout movement, and his successful defence of Mafeking (now Mahikeng) during its 217-day siege by the Boers that began in October 1899, shortly after the outbreak of the 2nd Anglo-Boer War. Filming was to have taken place in South Africa but was abruptly halted due to the cultural boycott of that country at the time. (The documentary opens with a sequence from that film where Baden-Powell is instructed by Field Marshal Wolseley to go to South Africa, with Griffith playing both roles. This is followed by the title, "Baden-Powell is: The Wolf That Never Slept: A Tale of Tea and Blood").
