From the too obvious finding of the medallion to the same old Jake being a jealous jerk. Juvenile writing has taken a great potential show down the ridiculous obvious soap opera path. The characters are not worth rooting for at all. Grandpa, Jake, Eve, Luke, Gabriela - none are people to want to get behind. The worst is Jake - again. He is so juvenile and comes off as a jerk all the time. He would never be a fire captain in real life - no respect. The show was better in the 2nd season but dropped back to being full of unrealistic stories. No prosecutor would ever insist on three years for one punch. The fire was not predictable so any prosecutor would know it was a loser. Gabriela dumping and jumping guys is silly. Bode's acting is like watching a board act. Eve would never be a captain either - too indecisive. Too much soap opera and not enough real fire advisors to make it worthwhile.
