Following the crowd

The film started and ended with David and Niels in lockstep on the racing track. This was a nice image for their agreement of minds and bodies even though one was straight and the other gay.

The journey to acceptance took in anger and rejection at first, as well as gratuitous hatred from most of the group of friends. I profoundly disagree with one of the other reviewers about how being gay is readily accepted everywhere. Even in the most liberal of schools, gayboy is used as an insult. Gay pupils are ostracised and victimised. This short film reflected that reality and moreover, did it convincingly. Fortunately, the ending was optimistic.

predictable

to be predictable about that theme is not surprising. to be only predictable, without introduce any nuance of originality could be the basic sin. but the strange thing, for this film, is the unrealistic situation. because it looking for a nice story status. but it gives only good looking guys, a drama who has no surprises, an end who reminds so many others similar films than it seems be a recipe used again and again. the pillar/axis - homophobia. and the clash with the truth about a friend. good opportunity to give a different answer. but it remains the same. the noble acceptance, the joy to ignore the incident for a happy run.
