Kotaro makes a slime that suddenly comes alive. Years later, the slime has taken the form of a girl, and he grapples with new emotions in junior high.

Kotaro asks Puniru to help him look good in front of his crush, Kirara. Later, the school science teacher Mado wants to use Puniru for his research.

At a café themed around his favorite character Kyuthi, Kotaro orders a special dish, but a waiter tells him it is only served to couples.

Kotaro's classmate Alice, who is heiress to the company that makes Kyuthi, claims that her original character Runrune is more adorable than Puniru.

Puniru tries to cheer up Kirara, who is overwhelmed with preparations for the school's sports day. Later, Nanpa and Puniru compete over Robo Runrune.

Puniru becomes mysteriously moldy and depressed. Later, when an AI Runrune appears, Alice and Puniru argue over which Runrune is better.

Kotaro gets excited when Kirara invites him out to go over his summer homework, but it's too hot to go outside. Puniru tries to help him cool down.

Amid preparations for a school festival, Alice and Puniru decide to wager a bet in which the winner gets to make Kotaro their personal assistant.

Wanting Kirara to think he's cool, Kotaro tries various things, including a new hairstyle, taking an interest in dragons, and starting a rock band.

Kotaro learns his parents will be away for Christmas. Hoping to avoid being stuck alone with Puniru for the holidays, he scrambles to plan a party.

Puniru says she'll spend the holiday with whoever brings her the cutest Christmas cake, but the offerings she gets are - interesting. When a certain someone loses their patience, she may yet get a Christmas to remember.

Out of the blue, Kotaro wins tickets to a ski resort-specifically the Runrune Resort run by Alice. When they get there, Puniru is determined to make an impression, and her desire to be cuter than ever may just spur even greater adventure.
