Wow, this is the first time I saw her on SNL. I was totally blown away by her comedic skills. She's definitely funny. And her vocal chops were spectacu. She mimics other singers well. This is one of the best SNL episodes I've ever seen. I liked her Celine Dion impression best. She totally nailed her mannerisms and the way she sings. She also nailed that old Hollywood detective sketch. The way she delivered those lines were flawless even though she almost break from her character. And the monologue was just chef kiss. I hope this isn't her last time here. They deserve an Emmy for this episode and I hope Grande does too!
Ariana Grande's appearance on Saturday Night Live was nothing short of spectacular. Her incredible vocal range and emotional delivery elevated every musical performance, leaving the audience in awe. But it was her comedic timing and charismatic acting that truly stole the show. Ariana showcased her versatility, effortlessly blending humor with heartfelt moments. From clever sketches to her powerhouse performances, she brought a refreshing energy that kept viewers engaged from start to finish. This episode stands out as one of the best in SNL history, highlighting her immense talent and charm. A truly unforgettable night that fans will be talking about for years to come!
Ariana Grande stole the show with her great voice imitations of Jennifer Coolidge and others. Her talent for mimicry should be more widely known and appreciated.
Lorne has hit the half-century mark with our beloved and iconic TV show. Where it goes from here is anyone's guess. The quality has deteriorated sadly for the past few years with major cracks being visible in the formerly solid foundation. No amount of super glue may ever be able to put Humpty Dumpty together again. It was a great run, rivaling Gunsmoke, for the past half century.
Severely cracked and scheduled for demolition is the assessment here. It was a kind gesture from superstar Ariana to try to help this old TV show, which seems to be in the "I've fallen and I can't get up!" category at the moment.

Here's a quick review for last night's SNL.
Cold Open: A super funny concept with a very strong start, but the last couple of jokes didn't really land for me. 7/10
Opening Monologue: Ari is super talented, and even though this is definitely not the first time a host has done this sort of thing for their monologue, she was just really, really good at it. 9/10
Sketches: There were 7 sketches last night. Here they are, ranked.
The One That's Not Very Good: Castrati. The sketch itself is actually pretty good. The only reason it's here is that there is no way that it would have worked without Andy Samberg and Maya Rudolph. 6/10
6: Maybelline. The main joke here is how good Chloe Fineman's Jennifer Coolage impression is, and everything else is just kind of surrounding it. The impression is very good, and I lost it when Dana Carvey showed up, but it doesn't have a lot else to it. 7/10
5: The Hotel Detective. It's a very, very good joke, it just got a little repetitive. 7/10
4: Bridesmaid Speech. There were some great moments here, it just took a bit too long to get to the good stuff for my taste. 7/10.
3: Celine Dion Sports Promo. Ariana does an incredible Celine Dion impression, and the concept that she would be really into professional fighting is just perfect. 8/10.
2: Charades with Mom. Another classic "this family member has an unusual thing about them that we're exploiting for comedy." Those are some of my favorites. 8/10
1: My Best Friend's House. Some of my favorite sketches are the ones where they start with a mildly funny setup, before completely blowing the audience's expectations out of the water. It works even better because of just how phenomenal Ariana is at singing. 9/10
Weekend Update: The Oasis thing wasn't super good, but it was very solid otherwise. 8/10
Musical Guest: Stevie Nicks is an absolute legend. I can just imagine how beautiful her performances were when she was just starting her solo career. The new song she did felt a little long, but Edge of Seventeen is... well, Edge of Seventeen. 9/10
Overall: 8/10.
