Call 9-1-1 This needs help!
9-1-1 Nashville is the weakest link in the franchise. The calls feel absurdly fake, the script is laughable, and the overacting is off the charts. It's a chaotic mess with zero realism. Story lines are ridiculous. I'd be shocked if it survives past one season. Total disappointment. Pass on this one, you won't be sorry.
I had such high hopes
I was so disappointed in the first episode. Really hoping it gets better. The acting is awful and the storyline isn't good. The calls look very unrealistic and it has a long way to go before being as good as the other two shows. I'll give it another try but I don't see it really getting any better at all.
Kind of disappointed
When you watch the original 9-1-1 you can see those actors as paramedics or firefighters. This show...nope. If the other episodes are like the first one, I don't see this being renewed. And like the other comments, I agree that the writing needs to be addressed...the dialogue needs to be worked on. But, with all that said I plan on watching the next few episodes to see if the show improves.
911 Nashville, a drama written like a parody
"911 Nashville" is the latest addition to the "911" franchise, but it struggles to live up to its predecessors. The show centers on a wealthy family involved in rodeo and firefighting, with a convoluted subplot involving a long-lost son-a stripper-turned-firefighter with a natural knack for the job. His mother, a one-night fling from the patriarch's past, schemes to extort money from the family, adding unnecessary drama. One particularly absurd scene involves a life-saving rescue at a child's birthday party. A 7-year-old girl is swept 50 feet into the air by a kite that inexplicably goes out of control. The dispatcher instructs the parents to join hands, and they miraculously catch her-a moment so poorly written it defies belief. Compared to "911 Austin," which feels like Shakespeare in contrast, "911 Nashville" suffers from abysmal writing despite a decent cast. As a fan of the franchise, I'm disappointed and may not continue watching unless significant improvements are made.
Rescue me..
Does this 911 show, need to just call it quits? Yes! Even with a new city,it's just a clichéd series.
Not saying that every episode prior to this new one is bad, still there's a time to wrap things up.
This felt like a soap/parody or if the show Dallas tried, having side story episodes & it just didn't work.
Also only into S1 E1 & anybody notice the tornado timeline was ridiculous.. Started one day at concert & numerous things happened like rodeo, bachelorette rescue & family drama during that same night.
Next day more stuff is going on & that tornado finally is being addressed, really?
The little girl & the flying kite, give me a break! Lol.
Cast & acting is average & cinematography decent, but honestly overall you just don't care.
Also weird that Blue would regardless be put into the field with no training, could of seen maybe as a medic due to lifeguard training but still.. Liability anyone? Also surprising he didn't cause more injuries to that bride, stuck under the pedal bar.
Watch an actual quality rescue show, this really doesn't look as though it will become that.
