In the original Manga, Shinichi didn't wear glasses
Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki were initially interested in adapting the Parsyte manga. However at the time they wanted to adapt the story, the rights were still held by New Line Cinema. New Line was attempting to adapt with Don Murphy producing, Takashi Shimizu directing and Matt Manfredi and Phil Hey scripting.
