Gift of the White Guy

I'm still surprised by how unfunny and univentive modern day family guy is. This episode didn't contain a single laugh, but not only that, it hammered in the most unfunny jokes way too much. That Jeff Goldblum bit would have been stale 10 years ago, and the impression wasn't even funny, but they keep bringing it back.

That 3-wise men gag is just a reworking on a much better joke from like 12 seasons ago. This story feels like a retread of the same beats and ideas that family guy have covered a million times before.

What I hate about this, and what the Halloween special also failed at, is that this Xmas episode doesn't feel like a Xmas special at all. It's just a normal, unfunny FG do with some Xmas icing on it. I remember when the writers actually used to put effort into these things.

Theres only so many ways I can say this episode was unfunny and dull. End this show please. It should have been put out of its misery 15 years ago.

You know, it shouldn't be asking much for the Griffins to actually act like a family every once in a while. This is not an episode of Family Guy. This episode shows us, as viewers, what Family Guy could look like if it was better. If the themes that the show started off with still held true all these years later. I am a massive fan of Family Guy. I even find the later episodes, despite obviously not being as good at in the first few seasons, still pretty funny and enjoyable. Still, when I look at episodes like these, where the Griffin family cares for each other, and loves each other, and is there for each other, I can't help but wonder what could have been if the show went in a different direction. 9/10. I highly recommend it.

Enjoyed this special. If you have hulu, definitely a recommend watch. This felt like a classic episode from earlier seasons, Even through I wished the episode was longer and act more like a special but however I still enjoy it. Lot of people hates on modern Family Guy for some reason but in my opinion, there still handful of good episodes in this modern era of the show. I'm quite pleased with this special and hoping they can do more Hulu exclusives in the future. Planning to rewatch this next year as a part of my tradition. Still can't beat A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas or the Road To North Pole.

This was literally the best episode of Family Guy in years! I only hope the new upcoming season is just as good! Despite the one star review by some humorless idiot on here, this should be a Christmas tradition. The plot is solid. The family actually has moments of togetherness, and it hasn't lost its edge. It's hard to stay relevant and fun for two decades, and this episode proves Family Guy still has what it takes to be on top! Naked Santa getting a back massage from an elf was outstanding!!! Don't listen to the haters that rank this show badly just because it's not their thing. They have no reason to watch it or try to ruin it for others by talking badly about it.

I just finished watching this with my 2 kids and we're all shaking. This episode.. it was just.. wow.. the best episode of family guy ever. I can't even type right now I'm shivering so hard right now. Stevies plot line wass so amazing and profound. The jokes were so funny in this one too so many well timed jokes and amazing voice acting. This is the best family guy episode ever made. Peter griffin is always so funny. Beautiful Christmas specials perfect to watch right now. Family guy will never be able to top this episode it's so good. So inspirational and funny. I'm going to watch it another time. OK.
