Actually, though partially inspired by the Science Fiction Classic, it's most definitely NOT a remake. Yes, it's got Big Brained, Bug Eyed, Aliens but it's not Saucer-Men. The Aliens were developed by careful study of the Genre and compiled w/ elements of many stereo-typical "Aliens". The story is a compilation of expected and unexpected elements to depict what's generally expected of a 1950's Alien Invasion film.
