Well acted though poorly written film

The film begins depicting a guy from a middle-class family and his 2 friends. Their day-to-day life is shot well. However, once we go through the conflict scene, everything is poorly written and edited as some scenes feel they have been edited, and a bit of flow is missing. Certain scenes weren't needed in the script, be it Rocky's GF scene, Shetty with his girl, etc. They had no conclusion.

The acting by everyone was great, especially Rakesh taking the lead. Sathisha's mother and father were wonderful.

    The music was average.

The beginning of the first half was slow but well-written. Everything later was downhill.

    Watched it on Prime.

From Brilliance to Bland: A Film That Lost Its Way

The film starts off on a promising note, with well-established characters and an engaging narrative that holds the audience's attention until the interval. The first half sets up the story beautifully, balancing emotions and intrigue effectively. However, post-interval, the film takes a drastic downturn. The pacing slows, and the screenplay becomes lackluster, making it difficult to stay invested.

It's disappointing to see the makers overlook crucial aspects that could have elevated the storytelling. The emotional depth present in the first half vanishes in the second, leading to an underwhelming climax that feels rushed and poorly conceived. Technically, the film also falls short-color grading, editing, and cinematography lack the finesse expected from a theatrical release, giving it the feel of a short film rather than a full-fledged feature.

Kannada filmmakers need to understand that storytelling is not just about good performances but also about strong execution in every aspect of filmmaking. This movie had the potential to captivate audiences, but somewhere along the way, it lost its grip.

A solid 5 stars for the impressive first half, but unfortunately, the second half doesn't deserve any.

Missed to get a great movie from an amazing script

The way movie started by narrating middle class friendship and family was very good. But it all started falling apart during the key scenes, direction seams to be lost his direction skill and flattened these scenes, for example accident scenes and during collections of compensation..all these key scenes could have been directes well. Why i am saying is, all actors here were too good and they were not directed well to get a brilliant scenes. 7 rating is for script and minus 3 for bad Direction.

Even the climax could have been much better. One of the character was remembering his fathers death was not projected impactfully.

    Grounded... no nonsense movie

An exceptionally well-crafted film that authentically portrays the realities of middle-class life in today's world, free from exaggeration. The storyline is engaging and relatable, weaving together moments of joy, struggle, and perseverance that resonate deeply with viewers. Rakesh delivers a stellar performance, seamlessly capturing the character's innocence, vulnerability, and underlying aggression, making his portrayal both compelling and memorable. The direction and cinematography are top-notch, bringing to life the nuances of everyday challenges faced by the middle class. The screenplay is crisp, with dialogues that strike a chord and stay with you long after the credits roll. The supporting cast also shines, adding depth and authenticity to the narrative. This film is not just a story but a mirror to society, making it a must-watch for anyone seeking a realistic and heartfelt cinematic experience.

    Divided by class.

Suri, Satish and Manja are best friends. Suri is aspiring to become a corporator one day and is a loyal party worker, hoping to get the ticket. Satish works as a food delivery partner in Zomato and Manja is a cab driver, both of whom are deep in debt and rely on Suri at times. Manja is in love with Lakshmi, sister of Satish. A fateful night when the trio are out to celebrate Satish's birthday, meet with a fatal accident and the car that hit them is driven by rich brats. Suri backs out hoping for a monetary compensation that could help his friend's family but the rich brats take it far which forces Suri and Manja to seek for revenge. The rest of the story is how they exact their revenge on the wrongdoers.

Maryade Prashne definitely starts off on a positive note, taking ample time to establish each characters' story and their friendship. The bunch is always at the losing end in life where they struggle to make ends meet yet find happiness at the end of the day. This segment was presented beautifully. However, after a point the narrative loses it's steam as it takes a turn towards revenge tale. The dialogues get weaker and the characterization quite generic especially when it comes to antagonist. As the story progresses, stereotypes do as well which pulls the film down and it gets way too predictable, dragging the film. What works is still the performances that remain heartfelt. The film would've benefitted with a better character arc for the bad guys and then merge it with Suri's own morale code.
