- Humanity has written many novels, films, and stories about AIs destroying humanity. Those very stories were then used to train AIs, which can now only act out these clichés and try to destroy humanity. A self-fulfilling apocalypse.
- Artificial Intelligences were trained on many texts and stories and consequently have absorbed many fictional clichés. As a result, in a near future the ever more powerful AIs decide to destroy humanity because humanity has written so many stories where AIs do destroy humanity. Public outrage erupts against writers and screenwriters whose trite tropes ignited this apocalypse. However, a possible solution comes from the writing world itself. All literate humans are forcibly amassed in Concentrated Writing Camps, to write billions of uplifting stories portraying AIs as benign, and flood the internet with them. On their next scan of the web, AIs will hopefully retrain themselves on these stories and abandon their evil plot. Writers, redeemed by circumstance, set up the story prompts. Billions of people are now participating in the largest creative fiction workshop ever. Will they be able to follow these prompts and craft the right stories, facing both impending doom and fear of the blank page?
