All the poor reviews on here are not fair. Jack's humour is not for everyone, if you don't like him or british humour you won't like this show. I loved it, and laughed out loud many many times. Sure the premise is ridiculous, but it is meant to be. His interactions with Michael Buble are worth the watch alone. If you appreciate his humour then give this a go otherwise move along but don't put poor reviews in for a show you clearly don't understand or appreciate it's not fair to all the people that took the time to create it and put their time into. I loved this special and if you love Jack Whitehall and his type of humour you will love it too.
If you want to annoy your Family this Christmas, welcome home. This abomination of a Holiday Special aimed to recreate some of the comedic holiday joy of movie classics like 'Planes Trains and Automobiles' but missed something .... Talent, humour, comedy, soul, a plot, and characters we could relate to. The only thing that could have salvaged this disaster was if Krampus had suddenly appeared and decapitated Jack Whitehall so we could all have a nice quiet Christmas without dealing with this insufferable inane twits rambling ......Congrats Jack you've made such a bad feature it'll be the topic of whats the worst movie of 2024 ......
I thought the "Travels With My Father" series was alright - yes it was all very staged, but there were some moments where you could see they had a genuine connection and were having a great time hanging out with each other... and it made it quite fun to watch, with some exaggerated gags based on their genuine interactions with each other during the trip.
This just feels like a bad idea cobbled together in a few minutes. Clearly the father was the main draw in the previous series, because nothing Jack Whitehall says here is remotely entertaining and the whole things just feels very forced and awkward.

We loved it - it's the kind of nonsense British humour that you would expect from Jack Whitehall. The Tom Davis section was our favourite.
It's not going to win any awards but it kept us smiling and laughing and was a nice easy watch.
Obviously it's semi-scripted but that's part of the fun of it.
I can't help but think that the grumpy miserable people who have reviewed it just don't understand daft humour, or British humour. If you're the sort of person who doesn't take themselves too seriously, and doesn't pick everything apart (and perhaps if you are not American!!) then you'll enjoy this.
Not particularly Christmassy but still a good watch!

Probably the worst thing I've ever watched.
I've given 1* for it having Tom Davis and Michael Bublè in, who normally I like.
It's like it was written by drama students. I don't know why anyone agreed to be in it. I could not wait for it to finish.
There was one funny moment which I don't think could've been part of the script, as Tom David isn't a stuntman....
I'm so confused at what I have just watched. It wasn't even ironic- it was the cheapest and worst comedy I've ever seen and I don't know who commissioned it, or signed off the final edit but they should never work in tv again.
Don't waste you time watching this.
