Theresia van Astrea (2025)

Review by yonmcdon

Theresia van Astrea

Re: Zero - Starting Life in Another World

9/10

Excellent Worldbuilding and Self Contained Story

The Astrea family up until this point in the story had remained somewhat vague in terms of their past. This episode utilizes great flashbacks (not many shows really compare to its usage) and emotion to develop Reinhard, Wilhelm, and Theresia into better characters. The animation was about what I expect for Re: Zero, but it doesn't really matter considering how strong the story remains. The premise of the Sword Saint is also well-established; the world of Re: Zero keeps expanding.

Ever since I first saw Reinhard I had hope that they would develop his character, especially due to the fact that he is the strongest in the entire series. I am excited to see how he continues to gain depth as I continue to see above average storytelling; something that has been lacking in a lot of shows in recent memory.

9.2/10.
