Wahlberg stars alongside Michelle Monaghan (The White Lotus) and Maggie Q (Bosch: Legacy) in The Family Plan, an action comedy following a former assassin living incognito as a suburban dad who must take his family on a road trip when his former life catches up to him. The Family Plan began streaming on Apple TV+ in 2023, and although the film is over 18 months old, it’s still one of the most popular movies in the world, topping charts in over 75 countries, including the United States. The Family Plan earned scores of 27% from critics and 61% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.

David Coggeshall wrote the script for The Family Plan, and Simon Cellan Jones directed the film.

While big-screen video game adaptations have undergone something of a renaissance in the last few years, Mark Wahlberg’s panned 2008 action effort is headed to free streaming to remind us of how bad things used to be.
