Just watched the finale. At the start of this season, I thought it was a bad idea-Georgie living in Mandy's parents' house, all of them kind of living in the same Young Sheldon world with Young Sheldon characters just showing up sometimes. But honestly, it has become really good now. And the theme song is one of the best I've seen in recent shows.
I was shocked when CBS announced Season 2 of this, but after finishing it, I'm glad they did. Mandy's father, Georgie, and Mandy were already funny in Young Sheldon, but what really impressed me this season was Mandy's mother. Her sense of humor and acting is so awesome. And because Mandy's parents are such good characters, I'm glad they're staying in the same house. I wouldn't want them to move away and leave those characters behind.
The two new characters, Connor and Rubin, didn't look that good at first, but they're improving. I still think Connor's character feels a bit depressing for a sitcom. It seems like they're trying to make him a mix of Sheldon and Stuart from The Big Bang Theory, but I think his character needs more work.
Overall, this show has really improved. If they keep up with the Mandy and her boss storyline, and maybe add a bit more romantic tension, a drunken moment or an accidental kiss in Season 2-and don't drag it out too long, this show could last many seasons.
