Talk of the Town

"Talk of the Town" seems reminiscent of the set of romantic dramas issued a decade or so ago by Wicked Passions, a label that was since discontinued by parent Wicked Pictures. But the script by Taylor Saracen (whose previous credits consist mainly of Gay Porn videos) is third-rate soap opera. And while those Wicked features of old were story-driven, "Town" has only token story material to encompass its set of four 1/2 hours of gonzo XXX action, doled out as individual segments for the website.

Liz Jordan stars as an intentionally ambiguous character, the subject of intense gossip and rumor-mongering in the beach community of Palm Ridge (most of it via voice-over dialogue). She's dating Parker Ambrose, whose family, especially mom Kenzie Taylor, thinks she's not worthy of him or joining their hoity-toity social set.

Story hits a zenith when after years of off and on romance, Parker proposes marriage after his family's Christmas dinner, and Liz turns him down flat. That leads to more gossip, a dramatic bitterness (plus some sex of course) between him and Liz, leading to a surprise tragic conclusion.

The soap opera dialogue in the final reel is extremely poor, leaving very little for Wicked fans to enjoy, other than the sex footage and a very flashy opening credits montage sequence credited to one "Cruella Demille". Besides the stars, the hot sex is courtesy of Kenzie Taylor and Seth Gamble as Parker's stuffy parents, Isiah Maxwell as Kenzie's secret lover and the rather extraneous trio of Coco Lovelock as Liz's roommate and supposed rival (a subplot that is poorly developed), Melody Marks as Parker's sister and an uncredited Josh Rivers as Coco & Melody's threesome stud. Besides forgetting to credit Josh on screen, sloppines here includes getting Parker Ambrose's name listed backwards, as Ambrose Parker in the end credits.
