Nobody Does It Better than Toby Huss

I give this episode 10 stars because it demonstrates that nobody does the voice of Kahn better than the one who did it for 13 seasons, Mr. Toby Huss!

While the new Kahn voice was awful, the writing made up for it by making Kahn out to be worse than ever as far as his character is concerned.

Kahn has been taken down a few notches and has nothing to smugly laugh at anymore, and the new voice makes the character nothing to laugh at as well because it just isn't funny.

It's almost like the PC police killed their own, and that's hilarious! Ho yeah!

Besides the voice, I enjoyed the episode. It's great to see these characters again in new phases of their animated lives, and the writing still makes me laugh even if Kahn's voice doesn't. Wingo!

PS - If the new voice of Kahn was any good, I'd expect more reviews praising it, instead of every review that points out the obvious getting thumbs down. Sh-sh-sha!

Kahn VA makes it hard to watch

Look plenty of characters VA's were changed for various reasons, but Kahn sounds terrible now. From the first scene in the bowling alley, the voice and laugh were so weird I thought the original VA must have died. Nope, still on this very episode. So I guess it's a "race" thing? Idk. Regardless, if the original VA is still doing the show then either have him do the voice, or remove the character from the show.

Now that being said, I do think the resurgence of King of the Hill as a whole is fun and mostly well played. The storylines of the other characters are great and well in line.

Welp, hopefully Kahn returns to the normal VA or gets killed off sometime soon.

        Unneeded story

As everyone said they replaced Kahn's voice actor and its so bad. Kahn is supposed to be older but the new voice doesnt match him at all. Also the story in this episode takes a bold risk that kinda disrespects the entire original show. I hope they undo it in future episodes cause I dont like what they do to Kahn, even though I guess it could be seen as realistic its really sad.

        Sham Party, Real Connection

Ep 8 "Kahn-scious Uncoupling" is one of Season 14's stronger outings, striking a balance between comedy and uneasy family drama. The setup at the Souphanousinphones' party works well as a stage for awkward conversations, simmering tensions, and subtle power shifts.

Kahn, voiced this season by Ronny Chieng, is as prickly and self-absorbed as ever. Even with the new performance, the character retains the same sharp bite, and his scenes carry plenty of weight. Bobby is once again the quiet anchor - trying to help Connie while also handling his own responsibilities - and Pamela Adlon gives him warmth without tipping into sentimentality. Peggy's reactions to the social chaos are written with sharpness and just enough bite to make her memorable without overplaying the moment.

The episode also benefits from the full ensemble: Hank trying to manage what he knows, Dale and Bill adding their own flavor, and Connie caught in the middle. It's an episode about appearances, hidden truths, and the bonds people hold onto even when things fall apart.

        8.5/10: Solid, layered storytelling.

        Kahn voice actor is bad

I know it's hard to bring back certain characters and voice actors when the show has been off the air for over 15 years... and with Johnny Hardwick's passing a new season was going to be a gamble. I know they're trying to work with what they have, but the guy who voiced Kahn a horrible job. It sounds absolutely nothing like the character. The voice and inflection is completely different, why bother bringing Kahn back if the person doing the voice isn't even going to try and do a decent impression?
