The Walsh Sisters

The first episode leaves me with a mixed feeling; I want more, but there's too much drama to process. Good performances, and the lovely Irish accent helps everything come together. I'm not a big fan of Marian Keyes, but I think this series is worth it. For now, I'm already looking forward to the second episode. It's not Bad Sisters, but that's okay.

Really enjoying The Walsh Sisters so far! It's funny, emotional, and feels m real at times. The cast is great all around, but Caroline Menton absolutely carries it - she's completely believable, with so much heart and depth. You can't take your eyes off her whenever she's on screen. You can tell she will be a future star! Can't wait for the rest of the season.

A new series involving sisters in an Irish setting. Top class actors. Top class writers. Should be good huh! Nope!!!!

It's like a Fair City Episode on Steroids. There's no reality, the storyline is complicated and puzzling. The direction is muddled and confusing. I gavent read the book and am.going solely on the new TV series but TBH it's boring confusing and not as good as expected. Sorry.

It's been strange watching the Walsh sisters being rebooted in the 2020s, after having read their stories mumumble years ago!

They're so familiar, and so different from how I imagined them. Mammy Walsh looks completely wrong, but is also absolutely perfect, so I am already a complete fan. The sisters might look completely different, but so far they are acting like I imagined, though we are mainly still in Rachel's and Anna's stories to start with.

I really can't imagine how it would to experience this show it you hadn't read the Marian Keyes novels. For those who don't know it is a series of five novels, each told in the voice of one of the five sisters. There has been a new one recently, but I won't say more, because I might drop a spoiler by mistake.

I am really enjoying it, with the stories being simplified for TV and woven together into a single tapestry.

Worth way more than the rating I am seeing presently (currently it is sitting at 6.9)

I'm just after finishing episode Two and although there's a lot going on and much to process I think it's brilliant so far. I'm a huge fan of the novel "Rachel's Holiday" so the it's the Rachel character that has me interested in the show. The cast are superb and having Carrie Crowley and Aidan Quinn play the Walsh parents is a bonus. I can't wait for the next episode. It would have been great if they put them all up on RTÈ player to stream like they do with some shows.
