Even though I have already read the second book of the series, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what happens in this medium as well. I'm sure there will be some deviations, but, really... That's part of the fun!
I was a little bit concerned that they'd left too much time for the final episode after the events of Episode 9 - especially since this is another (thankfully) longer installment - but, no, this was exactly the right amount. There was a lot of suspense and character development left to deliver, and I was here for it.
Of course, special praise has to go to Alexander Skarsgård, who brought the Murderbot to life. And made it almost lovable. But not overdoing it!
Looking forward to S2, whenever it arrives. This show so far is a triumph of modern science-fiction, exploring ideas of morality and community, both human and artificial. Wonderful entertainment start to finish.

A thoughtful ending that won't please everyone.
"The Perimeter" takes a bold approach for a season finale... prioritizing character over spectacle. The results are mostly rewarding, though some viewers expecting big action sequences might feel shortchanged.
The episode's strength is its emotional honesty. Skarsgård delivers his best performance yet, and the supporting cast gets meaningful moments to shine. The writing focuses on relationship dynamics and character growth, creating genuinely moving scenes that feel earned after the season's journey.
However, the pacing feels uneven. The first half drags slightly, and some plot threads from earlier episodes get rushed resolutions. The finale's restraint is admirable but occasionally feels like missed opportunities for bigger dramatic moments.
What saves the episode is its commitment to character authenticity. The ending feels true to Murderbot's journey, even if it's more bittersweet than triumphant. The final scenes are beautifully handled, though they'll likely divide audiences; some will find them perfect, others might want more closure.
This isn't the explosive finale some expected, but it's emotionally satisfying television that respects its characters and audience. Just don't expect all your questions answered.
Strong character work with some pacing issues. 8.5/10.
