I love me some Mister Groban. He is high quality goods. Yes, he had always been a celebrity favorite for me, with a straight angelic voice, some decent acting credentials, and highest marks in the looks department. Stellar star material. Both inside and outside. At least this show would have us believing.

A little too much cheese, which if you knew me you would know is saying a lot because cheese is definitely its own food group. Too much focus on trying to seem altruistic, not enough singing! Come on, live adoption on stage? Gimmicky, and not in a great way. The best part was probably near the beginning where he interviewed some children with very targeted interview questions; the result was something from "Kids Say The Darnedest Things"- cute, though staged. After those clips on foster kids, we were expecting that 800 number for adoption and donations to appear before the night was out!
