Sweet film with lots of HEART

"Fathers of the Bride" is a fun indie film filled with love, family drama, and laughs. If you've ever been married or involved with a wedding, you'll love this film. It showcases universal family themes with a spotlight on gay fathers that relates to everyone. Such an important message in today's world where LGBTQ rights are at risk and a great way to celebrate Gay Pride month by watching the movie. It also has a lovely ensemble cast and the cinematography is excellent . The actors did a wonderful job and all had a great chemistry with each other. So happy I came across this film and highly recommend "Fathers of the Bride".

    A Movie for a Moment

Fathers of the Bride is exactly as described. I call it a moment movie. When the world is beating you down, kids are too much, or today is just a hard day, these are the types of movies I love. A simple tale of two wonderful people surrounded by a wonderful family and friends and their journey toward marriage. Nothing too heavy, just the right amount of conflict (that doesn't put you back into depression), and a rewarding ending. We need these "escape" movies. It kind of reminded me of the television show, Happy Days, where the stories were real and relatable, but we all knew the Cunninghams were going to find resolution through love, family and friendship. Great job. Chad R.

A Must-Watch Indie Gem with Heart and Humor

Fathers of the Bride is a beautifully crafted indie film with a deeply real and touching message. Don't let the "Yuletide" in the title fool you-this is a story for any time of year. It brings a refreshing, heartfelt perspective to a situation many families navigate but rarely see represented on screen: a parent coming out. Told with humor, warmth, and sincerity, the film balances lightness with meaningful emotional depth. The characters feel real, their relationships are layered with compelling conflicts, and the music is an absolute joy-creative, fun, and integral to the storytelling. This is indie filmmaking at its best. Stop what you're doing and watch it now!

    Great movie!

Fathers of the Bride delivers a charming, heartfelt twist on the classic wedding comedy formula, and Bruce Hart anchors the film with warmth, wit, and genuine emotion.

In this delightful family dramedy, the spotlight is shared-not just by one father, but by multiple men navigating the chaos, comedy, and clashing egos of wedding prep. Bruce Hart's performance stands out as grounded and emotionally layered. As a father coming to terms with change, Hart captures the subtle mix of pride, nostalgia, and panic that comes with giving a daughter away. His comedic timing is impeccable, especially when bouncing off the ensemble cast, but it's the quieter, reflective moments that hit hardest.

The film doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it adds depth by exploring modern family dynamics-blended families, old rivalries, and the awkwardness of new roles. What could have easily been a slapstick-heavy farce instead opts for character-driven humor and heart.

Overall, Fathers of the Bride is a feel-good crowd-pleaser. With Bruce Hart at the emotional center, it's more than just a wedding movie-it's a tender celebration of fatherhood, forgiveness, and figuring it all out... just in time for the big day.

    Fun movie about unconditional love

"Fathers of the Bride" is a fun, bubbly rom-com with a lovely message about family and unconditional love. This "Yuletide" tale is a story for all seasons. Darren Deng is super charming, Brooke St. John makes a lovely bride to be who wants both her independence and her fathers' blessing. Bruce Hart and Peter Szeliga are stand outs leads with great chemistry. Masterfully directed by Paul Hart, with beautiful cinematography, strong lead actors and a capable ensemble cast, I very much enjoyed the film.

A story filled with humor, joy and a lot of heart, the film balances lightness with sincerity. The characters and their relationships are layered with intriguing drama amd compelling conflicts.

"Fathers of the Bride" is a nice surprise. I loved the the 2 Dads and the interracial couple to be married. This is a modern family and an effervescent and enjoyable film. Full of heart and humor. If you are looking for a feel good indie film, look no further. Bravo.
