    If posh did steroids!!!

I wanted to hate him, but I couldn't. JRM is a quintessential English toff whom I have wrongly despised for many years. After watching this 5 part series, I can honestly say that I've a new found respect for him as a good father, loving husband, God fearing devout Catholic, hard working, impecably well mannered gent!!!. Was he born with a silver spoon in his mouth, yes. Did he want for anything growing up, probably not. Does that make him evil, no. This series shows a human side to JRM that I would never have believed existed in a million years. Mentally tough as old boots, likeable and humourus. He refuses to allow even a modicum of unkindness penetrate his forcefield of positivity. 10/10 Insightful and entertaining.

    Why ??

Giving this vapid buffoon and his family a platform to show their life must be one of the most ill conceived tv shows of all time.

Rees-Moggs has consistently shown how much of an elitist moron he is, completely out of touch with the general public. Anyone who has the misfortune to tune into this will suffer the consequences and should sue the program makers for PTSD.

I'd much rather watch someone fold their socks and gently pick their nasal hair then this rubbish.

I'm sure some will find some morbid enjoyment of watching this family display their classless life for the cameras, but this is definitely not for me.

Can't believe I watched all five episodes

Having just dipped in out of curiosity, I discovered a grim fascination with how this would develop and ended up watching the whole thing.

He's managed to create a life in which his weird nostalgia is indulged by the entire household almost without question.

He thinks his stiff upper lip is British, but it's repressive and he's passing that on to his kids, which will do them no favours in later life. His wife seems to buy into this attitude, which was disappointing, but probably essential for the longevity of their marriage. I felt particularly sorry for his daughter, who clearly would prefer to be at home rather than at boarding school, but who is maintaining a stoical 'keep calm and carry on' mentality in keeping with the way she's been taught to behave.

Quite the opposite seems to be happening in the treatment of this youngest child, and his tantrums and poor behaviour appear to be indulged - at least for the camera. I'm not sure which is worse: the reserve of the older children or the tantrums of the youngest. Neither extreme makes for comfortable viewing.

As for Jacob Rees-Mogg's future, he may be a 'true conservative', but after watching this, it seems that he does not and should not represent the direction in which the Tories need to go if they are to be a progressive party of the future.

    Absolutely zero surprises here

Jacob Rees-Mogg and his families life that is shown here is EXACTLY as you would imagine.

If you want to know that his handkerchiefs and underwear are ironed and his children go to an expensive boarding school then may be this is for you, although frankly you didn't need to see this to know these things. Oh and his handkerchiefs are starched as well. May be this is targeted at posh people who are very very board and may be these people will like this, although you would have to be VERY board indeed.

It also tells us that really JRM is born into the wrong time in history (may be a 100 years too late) but again we already know this. Absolutely nothing new to be seen here.

    Brilliant!

It's sad that so many biased people must have marked this excellent series down for bigoted, political reasons. JRM and his wife seemed to me to be likeable principled people bringing up their children in a calm, Christian manner. I thought the series was marvellous and fascinating. Such fun to see the children's reactions to things. As for Mrs Rees-,Mogg, I thought she was an absolute star. She stayed composed as events swirled around her, yet she somehow kept control. It was a very well put together series. Why were there only 5 episodes? I wanted it to go on and on. It was so refreshing and calming to see a family not cavorting in an insane manner as far too many celebs and those on TV do. It was an island of calm in a sea of madness and insanity.
