"840" (2024), directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, is a big disappointment. Farooki's direction made the movie worse. The story is confusing, and the scenes don't connect well. The acting is weak, and the characters have no real emotion. The visuals are boring, and the special effects look cheap. Even the editing is bad, with scenes jumping around without making sense. Farooki had a chance to make a good movie, but his poor direction ruined it completely. It's hard to believe a director like Farooki could deliver such a poorly made film. Overall, "840" is a waste of time. Flop-Total Disaster. 1/10 Rating.
I don't know why some people rated so low. I don't know what they expected. But i really enjoyed it. The Storyline may not be like Inception or Intersteller but it's a shadow of the politican situation of our country. What's going on in the field of politics in this country. Really enjoyed the performace of Nasiruddin. His acting was like a true politician. Though there was so many character, but the focal point of the show was Nasiruddin. May be that's why other brilliant actors were not that much highlighted in the story. And the moral of the story is applicable for all politician of this country.
Full waste of time. There was no storyline. No connection between lines. Shame on such so called movie make. Very cheap dialogues and entirely motivated by his personal political vision. Not sure how even such cheap material could be aired. Doesn't suggest anyone to watch it. No one should watch it. It also contains extreme contents which are not suitable for kids and can encourage them to be terrorists. Really disgraceful cinema for Bangladeshi viewers. This movie should be banned from all halls. There was no connection between the lines and certainly no flow. Won't suggest anyone to watch it.
While the movie promised a compelling narrative and sharp social commentary, it failed to deliver on multiple fronts. Only Fazlur Rahman Babu's acting was top-notch as usual, showcasing his exceptional talent and ability to bring depth to his character. His performance stood out remarkably against the backdrop of an otherwise lackluster cast. Every other actor was rubbish, struggling to convey their roles convincingly and making it difficult to invest emotionally in the story. The plot itself was disjointed and poorly paced, with numerous plot holes and inconsistencies that undermined the overall coherence of the film. Additionally, the movie attempted to incorporate political satire, but there is no political satire, only illogical implications that felt forced and out of place.
I had the unfortunate experience of watching this film, and it fell significantly short of my expectations. The storyline was poorly constructed, lacking depth and coherence, which made it difficult to stay engaged throughout the entire movie. Character development was virtually nonexistent. The acting performances were subpar and many actors seemed disinterested and failed to convey genuine emotions or motivations. Additionally, the pacing was uneven, dragging in certain parts while rushing through others, disrupting the overall flow of the narrative. The cinematography did little to enhance the visual appeal, and the soundtrack was forgettable, offering no memorable tunes or impactful scores to elevate key scenes. The dialogue was cliched and lacked originality, making conversations feel forced and unnatural. Overall, the film felt like a wasted opportunity, neither entertaining nor thought-provoking, and I regret spending my time and money at the theater for this disappointing outcome. I would not recommend this movie to others.
