    Boring Chaos

Many different boring plots, all disconnected and developing in random directions, make the show feel like a complete boring mess. Thailand looks like it's straight out of the One Night in Bangkok 1980s-sex tourist kind of disgusting Thailand. The characters are mostly extremely unappealing and uninteresting; some are just outright disgusting and redundant, with no emotional connection whatsoever. It's a painfully boring season, filled with meaningless small talk and random things happening between people-and in their personal lives-we couldn't care less about. The scenery, drama, and everyone's emotions all seem so exaggerated and forced.

    Killer Instinct vs Buddha Enlightenment

This episode is a tug-o-war between a killer instinct and enlightenment. This is established in the first 10 min with the muay thai fight montage which is later juxtaposed with the Buddha's speech.

This theme is later underlined by the Thai couple's date night conversation where ambition also comes into question.

We see characters come to this fork in the road-whether it's killing another person or bedding another man's woman-and having to make a quick decision.

While it may lack the spectacle fans anticipated, it was the best structured, thought-provoking episode of the season-setting up for a perfect finale.

    Accurate review

I'd say this is the most accurate review of this episode. Definitely wasn't a 10 and if u straight up don't like this show I can see why you'd give it a 1, but also why would you watch up to episode 7. Anyways, pretty much the same thing is going on in this episode, every story prolongs and as soon as you think they'll close a story, it elongates. I think I finally found the theme of this show after three seasons: they're edging death. Pretty boring when 7/8 episodes are build up just for a more than likely mediocre ending. Also the walton goggins storyline was so disappointing. We get seven episodes to discover who killed his father and once we get there nothing happens. I'm all for zen and realistic interactions but there is nothing monumental about this show anymore.

    Where's the Killer Instinct?

Done watching the 7th episode and the preview of the final one. I think with all the build-up, the last episode might be really entertaining. This episode was quite interesting, but the problem is that many of the storylines they've been building up haven't led to anything yet.

The revenge someone wanted to take for a long time ended with just a push. The whole brother-brother angle wasn't even mentioned. The hotel staff, who was nervous about singing for so long and said so many lines about it, ended up singing for less than a minute, and the moment had no real importance. The date didn't feel much like a date either. Almost the same things are happening with the three women characters.

Gary's character has been turned into a mix of a pervert and a killer. And I don't really get why Belinda is so angry with Gary/Greg - she thinks he killed Tanya, but Tanya actually betrayed her badly and crushed her biggest dream, so it doesn't fully make sense.

Even with all these issues, the show still feels nice to watch. The actors and their characters are great, and the direction is amazing, but the screenplay could have been better. Anyway, I'm excited for the next episode - hoping for a crazy finale!

[7.2] Starting to melt and drip

After 6 exciting episodes for retirees, we get 'Killer Instincts' with almost the vibe and taste that we like and love in The White Lotus. The flow is much better, the intense situations more lovely with embalming mysterious intriguing score mostly on point.

It still feels disjointed though with islands of plots and people like Piper, Lochlan, Saxon (by not accepting that proposal !) and revolute Rick among others destroying the intense picture that other more 'White Lotus' one like Greg, Laurie, Frank-Timothy, Chelsea and Chloe and to some extent Jim are so trying to create.

Overall a better and more intense episode that I would have liked it to be way more intense and dramatic as it's the penultimate one.

Mike White needed to start that brightness with the first episode. What is done is done, just please, don't show Belinda in the next episode as she tends to dilute all the scenes she's in and subsequently badly impacts on the overall product. The sad and stressed out Belinda of this season is like melted butter dripping off.
