    Interesting but still lacking...

Not too shabby! If you dive in without any expectations, you might just find yourself pleasantly surprised! It looks like, similar to the Spring Festival in China, many Nigerians associate Christmas with heading back to their hometowns or villages. This journey is all about reconnecting with family and rediscovering where you come from.

The film, based on a screenplay by Adeayo Sangowawa, follows Akin (Seun Kentebe) and his family as they unexpectedly travel back to the village for Christmas to see his sick father - but things don't quite go as they hoped.

Right from the start, we meet this unique family: Akin, the dad, is a struggling danfo driver, while his wife, Amaka (Valerie Odunukwe), runs a restaurant that helps keep the family afloat.

Their kids are just as interesting: Tracy (Loveth Ogbene), the oldest, is feeling the heat to get into university five years after finishing high school, and Justin (Korede Lawal), the youngest, has a secret love for boxing but worries about what his parents might think...

I've heard that Nollywood fans really want emotional stories, but honestly, the films I checked out from 2024 just didn't cut it... there's always something off: shaky cameras, poor sound, bad acting, or weak scripts... the only thing that seems to stay consistently good is the music! Nothing seems to have changed.
