Rose McIver in iZombie (2015)

FAQ

iZombie

FAQ

No one has answered this question yet.

The show is based on a comic book series by Vertigo Comics, an imprint of DC Comics. The books were written by Chris Roberson and drawn by Michael Allred. It lasted twenty-eight issues from 2010 to 2012.

There is almost nothing similar between the series and the comics it is based on besides following a young woman who is a zombie and eats brains giving her the deceased's thoughts.

The comics follows Gwen Dylan, a gravedigger in Eugene, Oregon who must eat brains once a month or else lose her memories and intelligence. The books include vampires, werewolves, ghosts, living mummies, and a dark god named Xitalu.

No. While DC Comics does produce the comics, it is under its Vertigo imprint so as to leave it unconnected with the greater DC Universe (Batman, Superman, etc). Similarly, though the series airs on The CW, which airs the Arrowverse series, it is also not connected to any DC characters.
