Lead actor Francis Kora is lead singer and bass player for 'Kora', one of New Zealand's most popular bands.
The Pa Boys was funded and supported by the New Zealand Film Commission. The screenplay was co-written by a Film Commission development executive, Briar Grace-Smith. She is the wife of Himiona Grace, the film's director.
