Ozark Law

This show follows the 3-4 police forces that patrol the red neck capital of the US--the lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Haven't been there in decades but from watching the show the main attraction seems to be bars where skeezy-looking guys and scantily clad women get so drunk they can barely stand. Then they leave the bar and try to drive a vehicle, pilot a boat or just stab each other in the street in front of the bar.

There is the occasional burglary and quite a few traffic stops for people driving without a licenses, drugs, etc. But that's about it. Entertaining for few minutes until it's depressing.

Why the local authorities allow them to film all this is a mystery--not exactly a good advertisement for future tourists.

Sort of like LivePD, good show to kill time. I was pleasantly surprised how nice and level headed the Ozark police are! They seem like they understand most people are just trying to have a good time and seem to prefer writing you a ticket vs taking you straight to jai as long as you're respectful with them. That's how it should be. Lake of the Ozarks is somewhere we will definitely go vacation sometime after watching this.

It's great to see the work they do on a daily basis at such a familiar place. The officers seem very friendly and great at connecting with the crowds. The show covers Osage Beach and Lake Orzark police departments with the occasional assistance from surrounding areas. The job they have is a busy one and involves a wide range incidents and tourists, as well as local citizens. Looking forward to the next season as they add Sunrise Beach PD to the show.
