Meghan feels inauthentic and it's if as she has to think about everything she says and does and about how she is portrayed. The fact that they didn't shot at her real mansion says a lot already. It's basically just a filming set with actress Meghan. No matter what she does you can see her acting and wants to be liked so much by the public. Wouldn't recommend anyone watching this show. The fact that she gets millions of dollars and it's just a show where someone is acting to promote her business and a bad production makes this not worth your time! I want to see her family and not some random figures on a set.
You know how you can't help but look at a car crash as you pass? You don't really want to see it, but you just can't help yourself? Well here, Meghan creates the same effect, but right there on your TV screen. You peer at it through your fingers over your face, while your toes independently curl, while Markle - sorry, Sussex - she makes that very clear to some poor sould dragged on as a guest, gurns away at the camera giving us all sorts of helpful advice from how to make ice cubes to repackaging snacks for overnight guests. Probably a better title might have been With thanks for all the cash Netflix, Meghan. Or more aptly, With sincere apologies, Meghan. But as is pretty clear, sincerity isn't exactly her strong point.
I gave this 2 stars and this is primarily for the stylist who has made things look pretty. Other than that this is the biggest waste of time. I can't work out what it's all about? Meghan is not a chef and the recipes are very basic and obvious- she taught me nothing I don't already know- we all know how to make Jam! . She clearly has no idea about Bees and looked terrified when one came near and even had a 'bee man' ( who has a bee man!!?!?!). The whole things was incredibly contrived and fake with constant faux laughing. It just feels very try hard and embarrassing and she doesn't even seem comfortable. The whole 'don't you know I'm a Sussex' was very snotty and bizarre given her determination to slag off all things Royal- yet you must refer to her as the Duchess of Sussex? It just felt uncomfortable and inauthentic and like a very long advertorial for a random collection of very basic things you can buy in any grocer.
I gave it a chance, and to be fair it's fine for some noise in the background - but overall I found it very pretentious. Showing off this life where you have time to put edible flowers on everything you make?
Still not sure what tips and tricks I was supposed to learn, cause I didn't learn anything
Fresh flowers are so expensive, so to be flaunting that in our faces to make flower presentations for visitors I felt a bit inconsiderate
Chopping fruit and veg and arranging them on a board is hardly cooking, and who has a garden with all these fresh herbs and vegetables etc
Sorry, not for me, not sure what she was trying to put across, but as I said, the word that springs to mind is pretentious!

This show lacked depth and authenticity. Not sure who gave the green light for this but it certainly gave her critics more to dislike about her. I was hoping for a more down to earth version of the duchess instead she came off as unauthentic, cold, and uninteresting. The "You know I am a Sussex" remark was cringe. Too bad because I was looking forward to this and could only watch two episodes. I guess I'll have it on as background noise. Maybe try again with more warmth and depth. Even if they shot it in her real home, they don't have to show the entire house. Having it someplace else is just weird.

- TriviaMeghan Markle is using "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex," is the --> divorced <-- title used by divorced royals, as her producer credit. For example, "HRH Diana, The Princess of Wales" became "Diana, Princess of Wales" upon her divorce from the now His Majesty Charles III. Upon leaving the royal family from 31 March 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not use their Royal Highness styles in practice; however they are still referred to as "His/Her Royal Highness" in legal settings. Harry retained the Dukedom of Sussex, the Earldom of Dumbarton, and Barony of Kilkeel. As Harry's wife, Meghan is The Duchess of Sussex, The Countess of Dumbarton, and The Baroness Kilkeel. It is puzzling why she's using the divorced version of her title "Duchess of Sussex" in her show credit.
