I know a lot of people have disliked alot of things about this show, but one thing about the details, I noticed which is super disturbing. She does something, and then it is fixed all of a sudden, the editing so bad to hide the behind the camera fixes. One example is the balloon arch. Another one us the flower vase ! Pathetic, so fake, cold, disturbing.
I would definitely watch ot if you want to cringe together with your partner with a glass of wine, that should be fun. Otherwise this show has no real purpose on the planet. I hope if mankind goes extinct, ever, future people can find everything about our race but this show. This would reflect too badly on us.

You know how you can't help but look at a car crash as you pass? You don't really want to see it, but you just can't help yourself? Well here, Meghan creates the same effect, but right there on your TV screen. You peer at it through your fingers over your face, while your toes independently curl, while Markle - sorry, Sussex - she makes that very clear to some poor sould dragged on as a guest, gurns away at the camera giving us all sorts of helpful advice from how to make ice cubes to repackaging snacks for overnight guests. Probably a better title might have been With thanks for all the cash Netflix, Meghan. Or more aptly, With sincere apologies, Meghan. But as is pretty clear, sincerity isn't exactly her strong point.
I really did want to like this. I love cooking shows and getting ideas. And while there are some recipes here that are interesting and some interesting ideas, it doesn't feel real. I know others have said this, but it's the truth. It all feels so staged. But not staged for the cooking, staged to make Meghan look like an amazing kind person. I can tell you that I watched several episodes and I kept falling asleep on it lol if you're a huge fan of hers, it's light entertainment. If you're not a fan of hers? You won't enjoy it at all. If you're on the fence, it's mindless, won't hurt you to watch it, won't hurt you to miss it.
This show lacked depth and authenticity. Not sure who gave the green light for this but it certainly gave her critics more to dislike about her. I was hoping for a more down to earth version of the duchess instead she came off as unauthentic, cold, and uninteresting. The "You know I am a Sussex" remark was cringe. Too bad because I was looking forward to this and could only watch two episodes. I guess I'll have it on as background noise. Maybe try again with more warmth and depth. Even if they shot it in her real home, they don't have to show the entire house. Having it someplace else is just weird.
Personally, I've always been on the fence with Megan as a British person. This series I think is getting an unfair amount of hate, however.... Megan has chosen to do a lifestyle/ cooking/ wellness show but doesn't seem to be familiar with the practices herself, so why is she making this show?
My issues with just episode one: A year into bee keeping she can't do it alone, or even harvest honey alone (also the way it was done was not sustainable). She then proceeds to make candles for the first time, and then later on mention how she not a fan baking but will do it for someone she cares for. She explains basic skills like they're revolutionary and unfortunately it makes her seem very out of touch.
What I don't understand is for someone who has publicly received so much hate, I find it mental that herself and her team would allow her to show the public how to do skills like bee keeping, candle making and baking when she's not even familiar with the skills herself. You're asking for it when you allow a celebrity with bad publicity/ reputation, try and show the public how to do basic skills.
I would love this show if she had the skills and knowlage! It just seems so out of touch unfortunately and I'm perplexed her team didn't see this coming.

- TriviaMeghan Markle is using "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex," is the --> divorced <-- title used by divorced royals, as her producer credit. For example, "HRH Diana, The Princess of Wales" became "Diana, Princess of Wales" upon her divorce from the now His Majesty Charles III. Upon leaving the royal family from 31 March 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not use their Royal Highness styles in practice; however they are still referred to as "His/Her Royal Highness" in legal settings. Harry retained the Dukedom of Sussex, the Earldom of Dumbarton, and Barony of Kilkeel. As Harry's wife, Meghan is The Duchess of Sussex, The Countess of Dumbarton, and The Baroness Kilkeel. It is puzzling why she's using the divorced version of her title "Duchess of Sussex" in her show credit.
