During a June 2020 Variety interview, Catherine O'Hara said that if it falls on her to name the wigs, she uses friends' names. In the same interview, O'Hara said that she was the one who asked if her character could wear and change wigs often, inspired by a dinner party she once went to where, with no explanation, the hostess would excuse herself and return wearing a different wig every half-hour or so.
