Marc John Jefferies, Emma Roberts, and Dave Franco in Nerve (2016)

Trivia

Nerve

Edit
According to the directors, there was a very sexual dare that was not filmed because it was "dark and weird," so they could keep the film accessible to younger audiences.
Emma Roberts turned down the role of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad (2016) to do this movie.
After Vee enters the store to try on the dress, the man in the shop says "its very expensive." This line is a nod to Julia Roberts's interaction in Pretty Woman (1990). Julia Roberts is Emma Roberts's aunt.
In one of the opening scenes, Vee is "looking at the news" on her computer. On the right side of the news page is an article on James Franco, the real-life brother of co-star Dave Franco (Ian). "Is James Franco too smart?"
The book passage that quickly scrolls by at the beginning of the end credits is from Chapter 1 of Charles Dickens's classic novel "Great Expectations."

Cameo

Casey Neistat: The YouTube personality appears during a montage, as a player who fails his dare.
