Our Uni Days

Dave Menich, a Euro porn director who previously directed "The Band" for JoyBear as well as a couple of mediocre features for Wicked Pictures, presents this carefree but dull (and quite repetitive) nostalgia piece. It resembles the JoyBear house style and even moreso those dreamy but vapid Euro porn features from daring! Pure, but is less imaginative.

Catherine Knight stars as a brunette beauty who finds an old case in her closet, filled with mementos that remind her of pleasant times she spent back at university (hence the peculiar "Uni" (Britishism?) of the video's title). She (or more obviously a voice artiste) provides voice-over narration for the five flashback vignettes depicting her, her brother Franics X and friends making love in an idyllic fashion.

Lack of any sort of drama, real story or characterizations makes for a languid, uneventful video. Even though characters have fun in the sun they always head indoors to have sex. Menchin has the same sexual positions trotted out scene after scene, emphasizing cunnilingus so as to make this a female-friendly porno. Tattoos abound, especially on Dean Van Damme, the Brit actor who now seems to have an all-over tattooed look. One clear departure for JoyBear is the absence of any lesbian action or ethnic diversity.

Oddest element is that Catherine Knight, though present acting in or introducing every scene, is the only character with no name given.
