Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback
I didn't like this so much as last year's "Million Dollar Pentagram" as the child-sized super sleuth has to get to grips with a mystery set amidst the snowy Yatsugatake mountains. A gunshot, an avalanche and an assault on a member of staff at the local astronomical telescope soon has police inspector "Kansuke" - himself a survivor of that perilous snowfall, only now with just the one functioning eye - at the scene of the crime trying to piece together just what is going on in this desolate and pristine wilderness. All the while, the ever-observant "Conan" is collecting clues, deducing and deliberating from a diminutive position that allows him unfettered access to the scene. As the investigation gathers pace, there seem to be more and more police and government agencies to contend with so a conspiracy is clearly rife! For me, there simply isn't enough "Conan" in this animation; there are too many characters for us to follow and the story itself is a little too convoluted, especially at an ending that's excitingly animated by a bit underwhelming. It's also probably half an hour too long to sustain the pace that I found a bit lacklustre all too often. Next time, maybe less focus on the already super-served thwhack and pow combat elements and more emphasis on the detective elements for our intrepid sleuth facing a strong baddie.

so good
I have watched this movie in Vietnam. It is greater than what I had expected. I was surprised by the murderer because i just guessed a little bit information. The story is slow at the beginning, but very interesting in the following phases. In this movie, Conan is not as dominant as he is in the original story, but everyone contributed to the process of investigating the culprit and solving the case. There are some funny scenes beside a bit heavy atmosphere of the movie. Additionally, action scenes are stunning as always. I really love this movie.

it's not 10/10 but 10000000/10!
This movie is sooo cool!!!! And the plot twist wahh i didn't expect that! Action, story, all the plot and characters are absolute cinematic. I think i'll watch it again for the 3rd time. I'll said that this movie would be the best movie for detective conan. Oh i love when conan act innocent in this movie. He's so cute haha. And finally we can watch cool kogoro mouri again in this movie. I can't spoiler the story but i can guarantee this movie is worth to watch!
Satisfying and not spectacular!
Not bad but not outstanding either. The movie's visuals and sound are decent. The spotlight belongs to Conan, Mori, the three Nagano inspectors, and Haibara. This movie leans more towards action than mystery. The culprit leaves no strong impression in terms of motive or method. If you enjoy action scenes, it might be worth watching. Personally, I felt satisfied after watching it, but it didn't quite have the 'wow' factor.
Shadows of the Past-When Memory and Vengeance Collide
What if a forgotten past, a lost eye, and a hidden truth all converged to reignite a deadly chain of events? The Movie places its mystery at the intersection of memory, revenge, and identity, weaving a story where buried secrets return with lethal consequences.
The film follows Conan as he investigates a case linked to an enigmatic figure whose missing eye symbolizes both personal trauma and unresolved grudges. The narrative shifts between present danger and flashbacks to decades-old incidents, highlighting how past choices continue to shape the present. The story also intertwines the lives of those tied to the victim and the suspect, emphasizing cycles of vengeance and the heavy toll of silence.
Analytically, the film's strengths lie in its layered storytelling. The flashback structure deepens the mystery, inviting viewers to piece together fragmented memories alongside Conan. Thematically, it explores how trauma reshapes perception and how vengeance can blind individuals to truth. The symbolism of the "one eye" reflects both literal injury and metaphorical insight, adding depth to the narrative. While the film delivers tense action sequences and emotional resonance, the pacing occasionally slows under the weight of exposition, and some secondary characters feel more like narrative devices than fully realized figures.
Rating: 7/10 - with its fusion of suspense, symbolism, and psychological depth, One-Eyed Flashback stands as an engaging and thoughtful entry, memorable for its emotional weight and thematic richness, though not without uneven pacing and minor character limitations.
