I know a lot of people are going to hate this episode for being kind of slow, but i thought it did a great job of introducing the rest of the cast for this season. Probably the most i've laughed at an episode of peacemaker thus far. Seriously. Bird blindness? How does james gunn think of this stuff?
I will say i vigilante was funnier in s1, but thats really just due to his (lack of) screen time in this episode. He's still the funniest character in this show, hoping he'll get a good amount of screen time later but i also understand if he takes more of a backseat with this more serious tone.
To be honest, i wasn't a huge fan of harcourt until now but i appreciate her more as a character with each episode. I had kind of written her off as the basic tough female spy with little personality other than being cold to ppl and honestly i thought she was kind of boring. Obviously harcourt had more going on than that, but i felt like i couldn't truly be interested in her character until i saw where the slow burn is going. She is i am continually impressed by john cena. His acting was never bad in season 1, but his performance this season is so much more nuanced, intricate and heartfelt.

Season one had some heavy hitters even early in the season but season two is starting slow I feel but I believe it's gonna go up from here adding more things in the story to thicken the plot but this season kinda feels like it's filler but it's not there are things in this episode to add to the story but it's done in such a slow and odd way I feel.
A bit of a drop from the season opener, but it feels crucial that episodes 1 and 2 end as they do, with a full episode break between those events, so as to not rush things.
That said, hopefully the plot builds to more meat/stakes than just 'Peacemaker screwing around in a self-indulgent haze until an inevitable confrontation with Flag Sr.'

A whole strike team consisting of 5 dudes with basic ass rifles and pistols. They don't have nods, suppressors, helmets, or plate armor. Just blasting away in a suburban neighborhood with no decorum. If I'm going to believe this is the superhero equivalent of a 3 letter agency, at least try to make it competent.
Outside that the episode was fine.

Solid action scenes, (especially Eagly against ARGUS), much more character depth in this episode. Harcourt taking her anger out any chance she gets, Adebayo and Keeya having a little argument (Adebayo gets a reality check), and us getting to about Economos' struggle with anxiety. Fleury was the funniest character in this episode although some of his lines felt a little forced.

- TriviaFleury's bird blindness is not a real disability; although it is based upon the real life Prosopagnosia, or face blindness, according to James Gunn.
- GoofsThere's no way Eagly's heroic scene could have ended with no blood splatter all over his beak and body. But somehow he is completely clean.
