Tatsiana Krause and Joe McDonald in Special Report (2014)

Trivia

Special Report

Edit
Everyone who shot scenes is credited in the film. However, only Tatsiana Krause and Joe McDonald appear on screen. Ryan J. Gilmer and Timothy Wentz have their voices used. The remaining characters were edited for length, but remain as the "original cast" of the "lost footage"
This film is a stand alone piece, but could be considered a sequel to "Hollywood, Extra!!!" as it is the same "news team" "reenacting" "an interview" for a "Report". This film was purposely shown first, so it stands on itself.
The film is framed as a "found footage" piece because it did have "lost footage" just like the original "A Simple Plan" did exactly 16 years prior.
The beginning scroll of reading, a staple of "found footage", is all true except for the shooting dates and finding the footage on Craig's list. The character name is a reference to a film character within the interview. This was done to sell the tie-ins with the other films at the Z-Fest Film Festival with the character of "Guy Manly"
The end credits contain segments of "original cast" and "fun facts". The fun facts are likewise all true and make more sense to be in a "documentary about an aspect of "A Simple Plan"" than to be at the end credits of "Hollywood, Extra!!!". The facts are referencing the general universe of both films and of the "lost footage" aspect within this film.
