It's a lovely, lovely satire that actually loves its protagonists. Sian is as organic in the role as one can be - a wonderfully awkward woman with too much money and too much time on her hands.

Hope this marks a lovely beginning for the director, with much more to come. The film has a very defined and confident style, and the jokes land with a sharpness that never tips into arrogance. Even though the director also wrote the script, it never feels self-absorbed; instead, it's playful, observant, and genuinely affectionate toward its characters. It's rare to see satire that critiques without cruelty, and this one manages it beautifully.
