Holy Mother of God

SO GOOD! Aisha knocked it out of the park. Every minute of this episode was entertaining. I really didn't know how to feel about Bobby apologizing to his mom but family isn't always easy and it was great to see him healing from his past. Hoping to see Eddie again soon, especially after multiple people arw now questioning Bucks feelings for Eddie, probably including Buck (internally). What an amazing story that's going to be and now is the right time to tell it. Wanted to reiterate again how Aisha absolutely knocked this one out of the park, give her her flowers! I can't imagine how intimidating it was make her directorial debut and have to direct her coworkers and friends! Great episode!

This is one of the best episodes of 9-1-1 in a long time. Aisha Hinds KILLED it in her role as director. I would love to see her do this more often!

The story in this episode was cohesive. I liked the parallels between Bobby's parents & his relationship with them to the couple on the call. I like seeing the team work together on the calls and I hope we can see more of that in future episodes.

I'm also excited to see where Buck's love life goes from here. The episode left it open-ended and wanting more! I hope to see Buck talk on the phone with Tommy, or maybe in person! No matter where their relationship goes from here, they still have some unresolved conflict to talk out.

Aisha Hinds delivered this episode. Was she one of the lucky ones that got their debut to be with people they've worked with for years and consider friends/family? Yes. But that's not the reason this shined.

There was not a static moment in the entire 42 minutes of the episode. There were no extras awkwardly existing in the background. Every scene felt not as if you were just looking at a slice of life, but rather that you were *in* it. The church scene (not a spoiler, this was in the preview) felt like you were in the pews with the parishioners.

The cinematography was top notch.

The writing had laugh out loud moments. The conversations between certain characters act as a voice of communication directly to the audience.

The acting in this episode was amazing. Oliver Stark and Lou Ferrigno, Jr. Shine from their microexpressions to their body movements. We've seen Stark grown over the past eight seasons and he still ceases to amaze me.

I can't wait to see what else Aisha brings to the table in her future. I will definitely tune into her directorial journey.

This really brought back all the hope I'd lost after watching the previous episode!

This episode was seriously so good. All the storylines were spot on. Buck and Tommy's storyline was straight out of a fanfic and i loved all of it. The Buckley siblings' interaction was also so good. I'm not going to give any spoilers for the fellow Buddie shippers, because you've got to watch this yourself first.

Bobby's storyline with his mother also seems to open up a lot of room for development and I would love to see where this goes and how her character and their relation develop further.

They put Athena on a cruise ship again. And it got me to watch DR ODYSSEY, which I'd left watching after a few episodes back when it released.

Overall, one of my favourite episodes till date.

Aisha Hinds did a great job directing it, as did the rest of the crew, writing and acting.

Aisha Hinds absolutely smashed it! Honestly, this was one of the best episodes of the show for me. Aisha did such an amazing job at directing, at no point did my eyes leave the screen. I would love love love for her to direct another episode because this was just amazing.

Having Anirudh and Lou back on my screen in the same episode was honestly such a gift. Ravi was so funny and I adore him and Tommy absolutely broke my heart. He's so sad but I love it and I really hope we get a proper exploration of his backstory. Lou and Oliver have such amazing chemistry and they both did so well. I loved the angst and the fluff and the drama and I cannot wait to see how their story continues!

Bobby and his lore is so funny to me. The casting of Charlie as his brother was perfect and I actually really enjoyed the storyline. Maddie did feel out of character to me, again, but she has done in almost all of her scenes with Buck lately. Not sure what's going on there but I'm not a fan of it.

Overall this episode was funny, angsty and really reignited my love for the show. I really hope it continues and I hope to see Aisha in the directors chair again!
